Національний природний парк "Синевир" відзначає важливу подію

40-РІЧЧЯ ВСТАНОВЛЕННЯ СКУЛЬПТУРИ «СИНЬ І ВИР» НА ОЗЕРІ СИНЕВИР

Цього року, Національний природний парк "Синевир" відзначає важливу подію – 40-річчя встановлення знаменитої статуї «Синь і Вир», яка стала одним із символів верховинського мальовничого куточка Карпат. Озеро Синевир, одно із семи чудес України, є однією із головних туристичних атракцій Закарпаття. Його часто називають "Морським оком", яке оточують вікові смереки і розташоване на висоті 989 метрів над рівнем моря та є найбільшим озером гірської системи Українських Карпат.

Втілили ідею створення величної статуї відомі закарпатські скульптори - Іван Бровді та Михайло Санич. Витвір майстрів вважається найбільшою дерев'яною скульптурою в Європі. Її висота сягає 13 метрів, а вага становить близько 30 тонн. Виготовлена з африканського дерева махагон, яке славиться своєю довговічністю і стійкістю до несприятливих погодних умов.

Історія створення статуї «Синь і Вир» тісно пов'язана з народною легендою про нещасливе кохання. Згідно з легендою, юна красуня Синь закохалася в пастуха Вира. Їхнє кохання було настільки глибоким і щирим, що вони вирішили пов'язати свої життя назавжди. Однак, батько Сині, багатий і впливовий граф, дізнавшись про їхні почуття, наказав убити пастуха Вира. Від горя Синь ридала так гірко, що з її сліз утворилося озеро, в центрі якого стоїть острів («зіниця ока»), де лежить Вир. На знак цієї легенди, у серпні 1984 року на березі озера Синевир, було завершено встановлення дивовижної скульптури, яка символізує трагічну любовну історію.

Статуя «Синь і Вир» стала не лише пам’яткою культури та мистецтва, а й символом кохання, вірності та незламного духу карпатського народу. Вона є втіленням багатої духовної та культурної спадщини цього краю. Щороку тисячі туристів відвідують озеро Синевир, щоб побачити цей символ, доторкнутися до легенди та насолодитися неймовірною красою природи.

З нагоди 40-річчя встановлення статуї «Синь і Вир», НПП "Синевир" проводить низку екскурсій та екопізнавальних заходів, на яких відвідувачі мають можливість дізнатися про історію та легенди озера Синевир та збереження біорізноманіття парку. Особливою подією є легенди про «Синь і Вир», що дозволяє відвідувачам зануритися в атмосферу старовини та відчути дух горян.

Статуя «Синь і Вир» нагадує про те, що збереження природних та культурних скарбів є важливим завданням для кожного з нас і ювілейна дата її встановлення це не лише привід для її відзначення, а й нагода згадати про цінність нашої культурної спадщини та необхідність її збереження для майбутніх поколінь. Така подія об'єднує всіх, хто любить Карпати, хто прагне зберегти їхню красу і неповторність для наших нащадків.

40TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE INSTALLATION OF THE "SYN AND VYR" SCULPTURE ON LAKE SYNEVYR

This year, Synevyr National Nature Park is celebrating an important event – the 40th anniversary of the installation of the famous Syn and Vyr statue, which has become one of the symbols of the Verkhovyna picturesque corner of the Carpathians. Lake Synevyr, one of the seven wonders of Ukraine, is one of the main tourist attractions of Transcarpathia. It is often called the "Eye of the Sea", which is surrounded by age-old spruce trees and is located at an altitude of 989 meters above sea level and is the largest lake in the mountain system of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

Famous Transcarpathian sculptors - Ivan Brovdi and Mykhailo Sanych embodied the idea of creating a majestic statue. The work of masters is considered the largest wooden sculpture in Europe. Its height reaches 13 meters, and its weight is about 30 tons. It is made of African mahogany wood, which is famous for its durability and resistance to adverse weather conditions.

The history of the creation of the "Syn and Vyr" statue is closely related to the folk legend about unrequited love. According to the legend, the young beauty Syn fell in love with the shepherd Vyr. Their love was so deep and sincere that they decided to link their lives forever. However, Syn's father, a rich and influential count, has found about their feelings, ordered the shepherd Vir to be killed. Syn wept so bitterly from her grief that a lake was formed from her tears, in the center of which is an island ("the apple of the eye"), where Vyr lies. As a sign of this legend, in August 1984, on the shore of Lake Synevyr, an amazing sculpture symbolizing a tragic love story was completed.

Syn and Vyr statue became not only a monument of culture and art, but also a symbol of love, loyalty and indomitable spirit of the Carpathian people. It is the embodiment of the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of this region. Every year, thousands of tourists visit Lake Synevyr to see this symbol, touch the legend and enjoy the incredible beauty of nature.

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the installation of the "Syn and Vyr" statue, the "Synevyr" NNP organizes a series of excursions and eco-educational events, where visitors have the opportunity to learn about the history and legends of Lake Synevyr and the preservation of the park's biodiversity. A special event is the legends about "Syn and Vyr", which allows visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of antiquity and feel the spirit of the highlanders.

Syn and Vyr statue reminds us that the preservation of natural and cultural treasures is an important task for each of us, and the anniversary date of its installation is not only a reason to celebrate it, but also an opportunity to remember the value of our cultural heritage and the need to preserve it for future generations. Such an event unites everyone who loves the Carpathians, who strives to preserve their beauty and uniqueness for our descendants.
